The last 12 months has seen the most difficult trading conditions for small business in N.Ireland. With Covid and Brexit almost all needed additional financial support and advice from companies like our own.
We were able to offer some sign-posting, experience and know how to get them through these tough times.
One such company was a Co. Antrim small business who provided expert services in the area of Health and Safety, with a focus on reducing risk.
With so many grants being offered it was sometimes a minefield as to where to begin looking. As a company we allowed the existing staff to concentrate on what they were good at, whilst we supported the successful administration of financial support for Covid 19.
We already had begun to make them aware of financial support normally available from Invest NI and Inter-trade Ireland. The existing business development activity within the company in the areas of export and innovation meant we were able to sign-post and secure success in more than five applications in the areas of Brexit planning, Brexit preparation, Innovation, Employment and Research & Development.
It was vitally important to protect the existing companies financial footing. It was important to know where to look for support and importantly what was the appropriate financial fit for what this small business required.
